What is not included in our tours:
Admission tickets, lunch, gratuities, private tour guide, wine tasting fees, any personal expenses incurred by the customer.

Payment of Service:
We operate on the honour system, therefore you are not required to place a deposit on your tours, or provide your credit card information to book any services with us. Payment will be due at the end of each service in Euro currency, paid directly to your driver.

Your Driver:
Your driver is professionally licensed to perform his or her duties as a chauffeur, but is not a licensed tour guide. Therefore, your driver will be able to provide basic information about the places you visit, offer suggestions and make useful recommendations, but is unable to accompany guests away from the vehicle to sightsee.
Italy laws aimed to protect the integrity of licensed tour guides prevent tour drivers as well as anyone who is not a locally licensed tour guide to accompany guests sightseeing. To comply with the Italian laws, your driver will remain with the vehicle while you sightsee.

Cancellation Policy:

As we operate on the Honour System, we do not require your credit card information and debit your card for last minute cancellation. We do ask that you please be considerate and make sure your cancellations are at least 7 days prior to your tour date. We are a small company, and the drivers lose work as we cannot recuperate a reservation last minute and we lose work.

* Please consume wine and alcohol responsibly during your wine tasting tours!
Chianti Tours accepts no responsibility for the amount of wine our guests consume during their tours. Excessive consumption of wine and/or alcoholic beverages may interfere with your enjoyment of your tour and may affect the others who share your tour. If you request to terminate your tour early as a result of wine and alcohol consumption, you accept full financial responsibility for the fare tour in its entirety as originally quoted. The tour will not be discounted if you wish to return to terminate your tour early.

Shore Excursions:
Our shore excursions are tailored with great care by local experts to offer you the opportunity to see as much as possible during the limited time of a shore excursion. Drive time, distance, and traffic conditions are taken into careful consideration when creating an itinerary. Please note that altering or deviating from the recommended itinerary may result in our inability to guarantee timely arrival to your ship.

Day Tours
Tours are priced as per a predetermined time schedule. If you wish to extend your tour, you may do so at the additional flat rate of 50 Euros per hour.

Unforeseeable Delays
We do not assume any responsibility for delays due to traffic and weather conditions, protest marches, strikes, parking difficulties, mechanical problems, political unrest and any situations beyond our control.

Ambience Inside Your Vehicle
Please let your driver know if you have any preferences regarding Air Conditioning, Heat, Music, or if you are prone to motion sickness. Your driver will be happy to accommodate your needs, but please ask so he or she will know what to do.

Handsfree Cellphone Use for Work Related Purposes
Italian laws permit professional drivers to use their hands free mobile phones for work related calls. From time to time your driver may need to make or receive calls if the calls pertain to their work.

No Smoking or Eating Inside the Vehicles
Smoking or eating is not permitted inside the vehicles in order to maintain fresh air and clean environment inside the vehicles. Please treat the vehicle with respect as to not cause any damage to it.

Italy Highway Speed Limits
Please note that Italy legal speed may be higher than what you are accustomed to in your country. If Italy’s lawful speed makes you uncomfortable please let your driver know immediately. Keep in mind that driving far below the speed limit on the motorway can pose a road hazard as faster moving vehicles attempt to overtake slower vehicles and in the process cause accidents.
